Leopold's Castle is a splendid historical home, just opposite the Island of Elba, which looks out onto an olive grove and is within easy reach of many artistically and historically interesting Tuscan towns and cities. The gardens guarantee complete privacy. Its architecture, furnishings and décor are of late 16th century noble Tuscan style.
Inside
- Style: Steeped in history and beautifully furnished throughout with oil paintings, antiques, hand decorated ceilings, frescoes and many precious items.
- Bedrooms: Four double, five suites and one superior suite, all with en-suite bathrooms, they are arranged on different levels and individually decorated. The bedrooms are equipped with mini-bar, air conditioning, TV satellite, phone
with Internet access, and safe. - For relaxation: Take yourself away to the Reading room with Internet access or sit back in the Bar room in front of the fireplace. There is also a TV room, richly furnished with an antique chest, two comfortable sofas upholstered with damask fabric, fireplace and satellite TV, CD/DVD/VCR player.
- For recreation: Have a work-out using the gym equipment provided.
- Practicalities: Laundry service available and is charged per garment, heating is not included and incurs an extra charge.
Outside
An outdoor pool (from mid May to the end of September), a jacuzzi or explore the gardens and dine al fresco style.
Food and Wine
- The Castle is available on a catered basis only.
- In-house cuisine: A buffet style breakfast and lunch or dinner (clients choice) will be prepared and served to your requirements (only one main meal in addition to breakfast is included and served per day). The Castle is surrounded by a terraced olive grove and, nearby, the owner also has a farm where all the typical Tuscan ingredients are grown for the exclusive use of the Castle's guests. The produce is all organic to guarantee freshness and an original and intense taste.

- Guided tours to the ruins of Populonia and nearby Medieval Villages such as Bolgheri, Castagneto Carducci and Suvereto.

- Trips on a private boat are perfect for a day spent discovering the beautiful Tuscan islands such as Elba, Giglio and Giannutri. You can decide whether to have lunch on board or on one of many great restaurants of the islands.
